Chief Accountant

LPN, LLC (Lake Panorama National Resort) is accepting resumes for the position of Accountant. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience/education. The Accountant is responsible for all accounting functions related to LPN, LLC. Responsibilities include preparation of monthly financial statements, assistance with annual budget preparation, cash flow analysis, payroll processing, sales and use tax processing, and management of accounts receivable and payable. Accountant also will work with external audit firm to support timely completion of audits, compliance reporting and tax reporting. This is a “working accountant” position with oversight of one part-time employee.

Full-time
$55,000 to $60,000 / year

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist director of operations and key management staff with preparation of annual budgets.

  • Prepare monthly financial statements for board and management, including but not limited to balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and schedule of capital expenditures.

  • Prepare annual audit work papers as required by independent audit firm.

  • Assist in annual audit providing information and requested documentation.

  • Complete annual tax package provided by independent audit firm.

  • Provide documentation to management and board for monthly review of financial activities.

  • Administer payroll including but not limited to processing biweekly payroll, processing any special payrolls, tracking paid time off, reconciling quarterly and annual payroll tax returns, verifying timely receipt of tax payments by federal and state agencies, and verifying accuracy of W2s.

  • Responsible for sales and use tax returns and timely payment of tax liabilities.

  • Preparation of 1099s for payments of rent and non-employee compensation including obtaining W9s throughout the year from new vendors.

  • Management of cash function including bank reconciliations and cash flow reports.

  • Maintain accurate General Ledger by reviewing and reconciling accounts.

  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries.

  • Daily transaction processing of revenues and disbursements for subsidiary.

  • Prepare reports as requested for evaluation of results and analysis of future opportunities.

  • Review and monitor accounts receivable and follow up as needed on unpaid accounts.

  • Oversee one part-time accounting staff member.

Required Abilities and Skills:

  • Knowledge of accounting theory, standards, and practice as demonstrated by degree and experience.

  • Proficient in Excel and QuickBooks.

  • Possess attention to detail and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively via oral and written format.

  • Ability to effectively oversee and manage part time accounting staff.

  • Ability to work effectively with LPA accounting staff.

Restaurant Server (Experience Preferred)

Serves guests food and beverage items in a prompt, professional and courteous manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.

  • Describes specials of the day to the guests. Answers questions regarding any menu item and offers suggestions of menu items when appropriate.

  • Takes food and beverage orders from guests and delivers food to guests promptly after preparation.

  • Follows-up with guest to ensure satisfaction. Replenishes items as needed.

  • Clear and reset tables.

  • Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.

  • Accountable for checks, and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.

  • Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.

  • Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery and general service techniques.

  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

  • Regular and reliable attendance.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Bartender (Experienced)

Maintains bar and serves guests in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory and maintaining inventory records.

  • Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products. Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.

  • Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management.

  • Communicates guest requests and concerns to management.

  • Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.

  • Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.

  • On occasion serves meals to guests.

  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

  • Regular and reliable attendance.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Banquet Staff

Serves banquet function guests’ food and beverage items in a prompt, professional and courteous manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares function site assures meeting room is set according to specifications.

  • Serves food and beverage items to guests based on established guidelines.

  • Sets dining tables, buffets, and other service areas as directed.

  • Communicates guest requests and concerns to management.

  • Ensures the guests are provided with excellent customer service by anticipating their needs before they arise.

  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

  • Regular and reliable attendance.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Snack Shop/Bar Cart (Seasonal)

Responsible for providing food and beverage services on the golf course that is pleasing to members and guests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Stocks snack shop and bar cart, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory and maintaining inventory records.

  • Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by management.

  • Keeps current with changing member and guest preferences relative to the food and beverage operation.

  • Performs pre and post-shift duties as required by management.

  • Consistently follows all revenue control procedures.

  • Handles all cash, credit card and member charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures.

  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

  • Regular and reliable attendance.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Cook (Experience Preferred)

Prepares various food products for restaurant and banquet operations, guest consumption and enjoyment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares sufficient quantities of food product in accordance to production plan or forecast needs.

  • Wraps, dates, and rotates food items.

  • Utilizes whole food products eliminating any waste.

  • Maintains overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas.

  • Alerts executive chef of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortages in a timely manner.

  • Ensures proper storage of food items.

  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

  • Regular and reliable attendance.

  • Performs other duties as required.
